My Salsa BearGrease 27.5″
I am super stoked to update my stable with the new Salsa Bear Grease. I’ve got five or so rides on it so far, and am loving the wheel size. The most notable difference between this and my old 26″ wheel Bear Grease is the increased traction.
With the 45NRTH Van Helga rear tire turned backwards and the GX Eagle drivetrain, this thing will climb anything as long as I can remain seated. For those of you who are local to MPLS I was able to ride more of the nasty uphill rock gardens at Brownie lake during icy snow conditions than I could on my regular mtb when dry. It’s really incredible, this thing just hooks up.
Here’s the build.
