I recently acquired this Eisentraut, but sadly it’s just a bit too big for me. As I am not it’s “forever home” I have withheld wrenching, cleaning or polishing it, as folks who collect things of this quality tend to be pretty dang particular on such tasks and I wanted the next owner to have that experience.
I have moved the seat post and stem to ensure that they are not seized, they moved freely. I have not gone into the BB, but from the other bits I think it’s highly unlikely that it is an issue.
I also find it highly unlikely that there are many examples out there in better condition than this. Looks barely ridden. It’s a classic from an American frame building icon.
