Vilas County Revisited

Same as it ever was

Last weekend was our annual pilgrimage to the lush forests and clean waters of Northern Wisconsin. Since I have been covering the trip for years, my picture making has slowed down a bit as it’s a bit of the same every year. So this time instead of focusing on photos of the trip, I’d like to focus a bit on the music. Everyone involved in the trip is a passionate listener and picks out a handful of albums to set off the trip’s moments. At the end of this post you’ll find a few selections that I had never heard before and that have since gone onto  my must buy list.

Hope you find something new to enjoy as well.

Thanks as always to Craiggles for the hospitality and Joshy, Treasure, Puke and Kopish for being really wonderful people.

his year I elected to also truck along my dirt bike to do some exploring of the forest roads surrounding the cabin. As my family home is not too far away, I’d love to gain a deeper knowledge of some of the amazing places close by. The moto is the next best thing to the bicycle for getting in deep, and you can cover a whole lot of ground very quickly.

he flies in June were so bad that our fearless Captain McShithead had to wrap his ankles in a swimming towel in order to not be distracted swatting flies in razorback filled waters while piloting an unfriendly vessel.
